Prince Harry-Meghan Markle’s Archewell Foundation To Build A Community Relief Center In Mumbai Amid Second Wave Of COVID-19 In India
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle celebrated their third wedding anniversary yesterday. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex tied the knot on May 19, 2018, in a lavish ceremony in St. George’s Chapel at the Windsor Castle. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, through their Archewell Foundation, have now announced on their third wedding anniversary that they will be building the next Community Relief Center in Mumbai, India. Many celebrities and famous personalities all over the world have come forward to extend help to India amid the COVID-19 crisis in the country.

Archewell Foundation is collaborating with World Central Kitchen, and will be building this relief center in Mumbai, in the wake of the second COVID-19 wave in India. The Archewell Foundation website shared details about the same and the statement read, “Archewell Foundation and World Central Kitchen will establish our latest community relief center in Mumbai, India, which is also home to Myna Mahila, an Indian organization focused on women’s health and employment opportunities that The Duchess of Sussex has long supported.”

Archewell Foundation and World Central Kitchen’s partnership was first announced in December 2020. The aim is to build relief centers that can be converted into emergency response kitchens in times of crisis.

As per the update on the website, Archewell and WCK’s first relief center in Dominica has been built, while the development of the second center in Puerto Rico is underway.
